Galway Bay Sailing Club is based in Renville Oranmore, approximately 10 Km from Galway City. The club is renowned for the warm welcome it extends to its members and visitors alike. It organises and facilitates the racing and sailing of dinghies, cruisers and multihulls for adults and junior members. We also offer training and instruction to adults, juniors and non-members.
The clubhouse with bar and catering facilities opens on Sundays afternoons and also Tuesday and Wednesday nights from April to September to facilitate the various racing fleets During the remaining months it opens on Sundays for dinghy racing and on Wednesday nights for talks and social events.
The club has played host to many successful Regional and National Regattas with racing taking place against the backdrop of beautiful Galway Bay

Your Party
From April to September you can book our club house for your special event. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Leaving Parties and 21st parties. We have seating for approx. 80 people, a full bar service and ample parking. If need be we can organise a mini bus service for your group.

Boat and Cruiser Park
Members can store their dinghies and cruisers on club grounds for a small annual fee. Free dinghy storage for visiting event sailors

We have 6 support boats, racing marks, flags and qualified race officers

Family membership is a special rate for a couple, who together form a household, with their children, if any, aged 19 and under.

Application for Country membership are considered on an individual basis.

Cadet members are aged over 19 years of age and under 23.

Junior members are 19 years or under.

Membership of GBSC includes full membership of the Irish Sailing Association.

Crew membership is an introductory rate for new crew members who do not own or co-own a boat. For further limitations please see rules document.

Cruising Fleet membership is available to skippers and crew whose boats are located at Galway Docks or Rossaveal. For further limitations please see rules document.
