Thanks to our friends in the Oranmore Maree Search and Rescue Unit for helping transport Santa Claus in spectacular fashion to the Sailing Club for his annual visit. Thanks also to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit our younger sailors and to all the elves who helped to organise. While the days of Santa riding a horse into a crowded clubhouse are sadly a distant memory, it was still great to keep the Christmas tradition going. Although outside and socially distanced, Santa was still able to impart words of wisdom to the youngsters - warning them to eat all their vegetables and to make sure to leave out some cake and mince pies for him on Christmas Eve.
