Ladies Helm 22-July-2016
It was very much a Rhocodar crew versus Dart veterans for the Ladies Helm race on Friday night.
Astrid Plaas & Evelyn Dowling made the jump from two hulls to one for the evening. Mother and daughter team of Grace & Amy Denny along with Tricia Hughers and Aoibhean Byrt represented team Rhocodar

Dave Vinnell set a windward - leward course that gave all sailors a fair chance in the perfect 8 knots Westerly evening breeze.
The first race start cautiously with the Ladies, all sailing the club Topaz dinghies, giving way to the Optimists who were sailing the same course as part of their Friday night Summer series.
Everyone settled in and all reefs were shaken out for the second race where the start line was much busier at the final countdown.
By the third race there was even some serious pumping and rocking for the downwind leg as the leaders were neck and neck and looking for any advantage
In the end Aoibheann who took the overall top prize after Astrid's OCS in race #2 cancelled out her perfect first place finishes
in races #1 & #2
A big thank you to the support crew on the night
Pat Irwin,
Andrew Drysdale,
Brian Murphy,
Aaron O'Reilly
Dave Vinnell was our OD for the night
Johnny Shorten looked after everyone on the Barbecue
Johnny & Ciara Murphy kept the whole team well hydrated
A number of others wanted to sail but weren't available last Friday night so we'll schedule a second night late in August
